Cosmic Cayuse

This gray really grabbed my attention, over and over again, at Sombrero.  He was always at the front of the herd, always with the same horses.  I have painted him as part of the herd a couple of times already, but I liked him so much I thought he needed a portrait of his own.  My references were taken early in the morning with glorious morning light.  Many of the shots had that rainbow effect that comes with the light reflections, so I decided to capture that in my own way.
